We Obtain $866,000 Jury Verdict for Milliken Tree Farm

After a five-day jury trial in Greeley, Colorado, seven jurors found Suncor Energy Pipeline Company in breach of contract and awarded $866,000 to Jan and Gene Kammerzell, the owners of Arborland Nursery in Milliken, Colorado. Suncor owns a crude oil pipeline that runs four and one-half feet below Arborland and terminates at the Suncor refinery in Denver. Suncor had created a 40-foot wide corridor by cutting 160 trees around its pipeline without permission, and cutting additional trees along the South Platte River.
